Khao Sok National Park
Khao Sok National Park was officially established in December 1982 and today comprises around 739 square kilometres including the stunning man-made Cheow Larn Lake.
Khao Sok National Park is the largest stretch of protected rainforest in Southern Thailand, and is home to 48 different mammal species including wild elephants, Malayan sun bears and leopards.
The park is also the natural habitat of over 300 different types of bird as well as nearly 40 individual bat species. No journey through southern Thailand should be complete without finding time on the itinerary to explore this treasure trove of flora and fauna – don’t forget your binoculars.
